Hope for Holden's Heart

One of the main reasons I became a photographer is to capture fleeting moments. To me, every second is precious because you never-ever-know what will happen next. You'd be surprised how many people don't appreciate something until it's gone. Whether I am photographing a maternity session, a wedding, or a party- there is nothing stronger and more important thanthat moment. For me, being asked to photograph an event is always, truly an honor. After every shoot, I walk away with unforgettable memories. Holden's shoot will always and forever hold a special place in my heart.

I am going to send you straight to Holden's Blog to learn more about him. His mom has been keeping wonderfully detailed notes and I could try, but would not be able to come close to how she's captured this experience. Click HERE to read about the precious fighter, Holden. Then, come back and take a look at the pictures. He is such a strong, determined and inspiring little boy.

This was one year old Holden's first time outside since he was admitted to Children's Medical Center, over 110 days ago. He didn't cry once. He was wide-eyed and aware of everything that was going on. I can't even imagine what was going on in his young mind. We had a fabulous nurse with us on this shoot, helping with all the cords and machines that tagged along with us.

There are no words to express how much doing this photo shoot meant to me. I ask you as you read about Holden and look at the pictures, to say a prayer for continued strength for the family.

They are an incredible family!

XOXO
